Snow and Ice Climbing is perhaps the ultimate in climbing skills. To climb snow and ice, especially in a Scottish winter environment, needs a unique set of skills based on a wealth of experience.

You need to be a competent rock climber, be happy using ice axe and crampons and if you want to be self sufficient you need to have the skills to safely get on and off your route, navigating in often poor visibility and avoiding avalanche prone slopes.
